Vino&Panino Rossese Bianco
Vino & Panino – Second Season
Every Wednesday at La Terrazza da Renza
Summer is back on the terrace, bringing with it a new season of evenings dedicated to flavour, wine, and conviviality.
Every Wednesday offers a different journey: winemakers, special guests, wine tastings, and a sandwich specially created to pair with the evening’s selection.
An encounter between Italian food and wine culture, craftsmanship, and the simple desire to share time together—where an unpretentious sandwich and a glass of wine become something to remember.
PROGRAM WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 2026
This Wednesday, we are going to explore a grape variety that remains a mystery to many: Rossese Bianco.
But what exactly is Rossese Bianco, and why is it found in the Langhe, the land of great reds?
This incredibly rare grape is an absolute outsider. Having made its way from the Cinque Terre long ago, it found a home right here in Monforte d’Alba and Roddino, hiding for centuries among the rows of the kings of Barolo.
In the past, it was nearly abandoned because of its low and inconsistent yields. However, those who had the courage to save it are now bottling a highly rare wine that boasts an impressive aging potential in the bottle.
In the Langhe, it is an absolute rarity protected by a very tight circle of pioneers. We are talking about just 7 wineries in the entire region, and we will have them all in our glasses this Wednesday.
FEATURED WINERIES:
• Giovanni Manzone
• Cascina Castella
• Abrigo Fratelli
