Abrigo Fratelli

Rossese Bianco 2024

The Langhe Rossese Bianco by Abrigo Fratelli stands out as an authentic treasure for collectors and curious enophiles alike: a rare, lesser-known native white variety that shuns the region's classic white grape paradigms to offer an incredibly sharp, dynamic, and mineral-driven experience. This micro-lot is sourced from a single, prized 1-hectare plot planted in 2022 in the village of Monforte d'Alba—a terroir globally acclaimed for its powerful reds. Facing West, the young vines thrive on clay-limestone marls enriched with a high percentage of silt and solid natural fertility, creating the perfect layout to highlight the grape’s sharp natural acidity and citrus profile.

The cellar management is designed with extreme precision to protect the grape’s raw, delicate architecture. Following a manual harvest, the fruit undergoes crushing followed immediately by a gentle pressing. Fermentation runs at low temperatures using selected yeasts to fully lock in pristine primary aromas. The wine then matures through a brief, targeted "sur lies" (fine lees) refinement for 2 months, weaving a delicate touch of mid-palate weight into its vertical frame before being bottled in February 2025. This highly exclusive production is strictly limited to just 1,000 bottles.
