The Monferrato Rosso DOC "Pin" by La Spinetta is an iconic, eclectic, and highly gastronomic red wine designed as a liquid postcard from Piedmont. Dedicated to the memory of Giuseppe "Pin" Rivetti, it embodies the passion for the land passed down to his sons Carlo, Bruno, and Giorgio. First released in 1989 with an average annual output of around 8,000 bottles, this bottling brings together Piedmont's two flagship red grapes: the structural nobility of Nebbiolo seamlessly blended with the juicy fruit and vibrant acidity of Barbera.

Cellar management reflects meticulous care: skin maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in temperature-controlled vats for 14–15 days. The wine then undergoes malolactic conversion and matures for 12 months in second- and third-passage French oak casks, carefully avoiding new wood to preserve varietal clarity. After 6 months of bottle aging, "Pin" emerges as a brilliantly balanced, energetic red where firm Nebbiolo tannins and lively Barbera acidity harmoniously intersect.
