Langhe Nebbiolo from Cascina Fontana is a wine of unique character, born from a century-old bond with the land. It is crafted from a blend of grapes grown in historic family vineyards: the Vigna del Castello (owned for over a hundred years), Lirano, and Mombello in Sinio, combined with the Vigna del Pozzo in Castiglione Falletto. It is a wine that speaks of heritage and generational stewardship, such as the transition between cousin Armando and Mario Fontana in caring for the Castello di Sinio rows.

Compared to the austere majesty of Barolo, this Nebbiolo undergoes a more dynamic vinification, with a maceration of about two weeks. The result is a wine that emphasizes fragrance and aromatic clarity without sacrificing the variety's innate elegance. While it appears fresher and more immediate than its "older brothers," it possesses a structure and balance that allow for surprising aging potential, evolving beautifully for 15 to 20 years.
