Domaine de Bellene

Bourgogne Pinot Noir Maison Dieu 2024

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Maison Dieu" 2024 by Domaine de Bellene stands as an exceptionally elegant and vibrant expression of young, terroir-driven Burgundian Pinot Noir. Crafted by the celebrated vigneron Nicolas Potel under strict organic and biodynamic principles, the unique character of the "Maison Dieu" cuvée stems from the elite pedigree of its plots. Located entirely within the municipality of Pommard, the vineyard is composed of old vines (Vieilles Vignes) averaging between 50 and 80 years of age, which naturally yield low grape counts and extraordinary aromatic concentration.

The 2024 vintage delivers a textbook Burgundian profile marked by high-toned crisp fruit, energy, and stellar mineral tension. In the cellar, Potel practices low-intervention winemaking: spontaneous fermentation triggers via indigenous yeasts, with no chemical additives or correctors. The wine then matures for roughly 12 months in French oak barriques, utilizing a very discrete wood regimen (less than 10% new oak). This precise approach serves to soften the structural edges while keeping the focus entirely on varietal purity and the transparent terroir expression of Pommard.
