Barolo Via Nuova 2022
The Barolo DOCG "Via Nuova" by E. Pira & Figli – Chiara Boschis is a winemaking masterclass celebrating the noble, traditional art of blending top-tier sites. Originally named after a small historic plot near the village of Barolo, the "Via Nuova" name now serves as a tribute to an extraordinary multi-cru assemblage. The wine brings together fruit from six to seven esteemed vineyards across three key communes: Terlo and Liste in Barolo; Gabutti and Baudana in Serralunga d'Alba; Ravera and Mosconi in Monforte d'Alba.
Chiara Boschis’s certified organic viticulture seeks to harmonize the delicate elegance of Barolo, the muscular structure of Serralunga, and the profound depth of Monforte. Cellar protocols feature parcel-by-parcel fermentations followed by 24 months of aging in French oak casks and barriques, with an additional year of bottle refinement. The resulting Barolo is dynamic, multilayered, and exquisitely balanced
