Barolo Brea Vigna Cà Mia 2022
The Barolo DOCG 'Brea Vigna Ca' Mia' by the historic Brovia estate represents the most powerful, dark-toned, and structurally commanding single-vineyard expression in the family's portfolio. Sourced from a historic 1.5-hectare parcel planted in 1955 within the 'Brea' cru (specifically known as 'Vigna Ca' Mia') in Serralunga d'Alba, this bottling draws its immense muscle and mineral drive from Serralunga's iron-rich clay and limestone marl soils. While Brovia's Castiglione Falletto bottlings are celebrated for ethereal grace, Brea Vigna Ca' Mia stands as a monument of raw concentration, tannic grip, and multi-decadal longevity.
Cellar protocols faithfully adhere to Brovia's low-intervention traditional heritage: natural spontaneous fermentation powered by native yeasts in concrete vats, accompanied by extended submerged-cap macerations lasting 21 to 28 days. The wine matures for approximately 24 months in large 30 hl Slavonian and French oak casks, followed by extensive bottle conditioning without fining or filtration. Brovia's Brea Vigna Ca' Mia emerges as an austere, balsam-scented, and chiseled Barolo of monumental architecture.
