Roero Arneis 2024
Alberto Oggero’s Roero is a hymn to purity and respect for the grape. Crafted from 20-year-old Arneis vines with eastern exposure, this white is born on purely sandy soils at 280 meters above sea level. Alberto’s philosophy is centered on minimal intervention: the use of indigenous yeasts and the complete absence of fining or filtration allow the wine to retain extraordinary vitality and expressive energy.
The winemaking process is both original and refined: 50% of the grapes are processed as whole clusters with juice fermentation, while the other 50% undergoes a 3-day maceration on the skins. The aging is equally balanced between stainless steel and large, untoasted European oak casks. This approach delivers a multi-faceted Arneis that combines the variety's typical freshness with a textured structure and profound aromatic complexity—a faithful mirror of the Roero terroir.
