Barolo Dagromis 2022

SKU: P3860S

The Barolo "Dagromis" stands as a powerful tribute to the history and grandeur of the Langhe. The name honors the Gromis family, the historic owners of a highly prized, ancient vineyard in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, which was acquired by Angelo Gaja in 1995. Today, this wine is crafted by blending this celebrated plot with other selected vineyards within the municipality of La Morra. This harmony masterfully fuses the two main souls of Barolo: the deep, muscular structure of Serralunga and the perfumed, velvety elegance of La Morra.

The winemaking follows the highest standards of the Gaja philosophy while maintaining a deep bond with classic traditions. The 100% Nebbiolo grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats with skin maceration. The aging process is solid and multi-layered: the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barriques, followed by another 12 months in large traditional oak casks, before completing its evolution with extended bottle rest. The result is a monumental Barolo of impeccable precision and balance.
