Langhe Nebbiolo 2024

The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo by Fratelli Viglierchio stands out not as an entry-level bottling, but as a dedicated single-vineyard expression originating from Località Sant’Eligio, perched at 500 meters above sea level just outside Monforte d'Alba. Although fully eligible for Barolo status, the Viglierchio family deliberately dedicated this historic, West-facing plot exclusively to Langhe Nebbiolo to celebrate its distinctive, sand-driven aromatic finesse.

The steep slope and sandy, sandstone-rich soils naturally restrain yield, imparting silky, high-definition tannins into the fruit. Vineyard care is relentless: early green harvests and manual cluster-clipping are performed to ensure pristine concentration and even ripeness. The winemaking preserves the plot's delicate spicy profile through temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak tonneaux and bottle rest. The result is a fragrant, structured, yet immensely graceful Nebbiolo, released in a micro-lot of just 1,200 bottles.
