Bruna Grimaldi

Barolo Badarina 2021

SKU: P4005S

Barolo DOCG "Badarina" serves as the flagship wine and beating heart of Bruna Grimaldi, standing as a quintessential benchmark of Serralunga d'Alba's power, structure, and striking mineral drive. Crafted from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the esteemed Badarina MGA at 450 meters above sea level (with East, South-East, and South exposures), the vines thrive on the 15-million-year-old Lequio Formation—white marls loaded with limestone, clay, and sandstone strata.

Hand-harvested by distinct micro-parcels in mid-to-late October, the fruit undergoes low-intervention vinification. Cellar practices feature extended skin macerations lasting 25 to 35 days, frequently using traditional submerged-cap technique (cappello sommerso). The wine matures for 24 to 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks alongside a small proportion of French oak tonneaux (strictly zero new wood), followed by extended bottle resting. It emerges as a deep, energetic, and ethereal Barolo engineered for decades of evolution.
