Colli Tortonesi Timorasso 2024 MG

The Timorasso di Cascina Penna Currado represents one of the cornerstones of Elena Penna and Luca Currado's new project. Born from a deep fascination with the Colli Tortonesi, this wine is the result of meticulous research into the versatility of the grape variety. The grapes come from east-facing 15-year-old vineyards in the municipality of Berzano di Tortona, where the Timorasso manages to express all its power and minerality.

The vinification is a manifesto of innovation: a 32-day fermentation with indigenous yeasts and an original submerged cap system for skin infusion. This method extracts structure and elegance without giving in to oxidative notes, keeping the wine vibrant. The aging takes place in a refined mix of Clayver ceramic containers, steel, and a small part in acacia barrels. The result is a monumental white, with hints of yellow peach, chamomile and tropical notes, endowed with an acidic tension and a sapidity that promise an extraordinary evolution over time.
