Barolo 2022 DOCG

Barolo from Cascina Fontana is never a simple wine: it is a work of patience and dignity that represents the very essence of the Langa identity. Mario Fontana upholds the family tradition by creating a Barolo that results from the union of three historic vineyards located in the heart of the appellation: the vigor of Villero and the elegance of Mariondino in Castiglione Falletto, combined with the finesse of Gallinotto in La Morra.

Following ancient custom, each vineyard contributes a different nuance — structure, minerality, fruit, and elegance — to create a complete and harmonious wine. Vinification is slow and respectful: after separate fermentations, the wines are blended to age for approximately two years in Slavonian oak casks, followed by an additional year in concrete tanks. This journey allows the Barolo to slowly unfold, revealing its secrets only to those who know how to wait, transforming the Nebbiolo’s typical "hardness" into an aristocratic silkiness.
