Roero 2023
In Piedmont, Nebbiolo is the variety that creates wonders. Just as the great classics of the Langhe are born from blending different vineyards to achieve perfect balance, this Roero by Giovanni Almondo represents the collective essence of Montà d’Alba. It is a "classic" Nebbiolo in the truest sense: a wine rooted in complex soils—where marine sands merge with limestone, silt, and clay—patiently aged for 18 months in large casks.
The Almondo family, master interpreters of the Roero region, chooses traditional aging to allow the Nebbiolo to express itself with pride. The result is a wine that does not hide its origins but celebrates them: the structure is solid yet never heavy, supported by the vibrant savoriness typical of the Montà hills. A red that combines the nobility of the variety with the freshness and softness that only sandy soils can provide.
