Dehours & Fils

Champagne Terre de Meunier Extra-Brut

SKU: P1613S

The "Terre de Meunier" Champagne by Dehours & Fils is a tribute to biodiversity and the farming heritage of the Vallée de la Marne. Jérôme Dehours, a winemaker acclaimed for his rigorous style and profound knowledge of the land, created this cuvée with a clear purpose: to craft a single-variety Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Pinot Meunier destined to become a timeless classic of the domaine. The grapes come from a selection of several historic plots located on the left bank of the Marne, in the commune of Mareuil-le-Port, where the clay and limestone soils enhance the deepest, most mineral characteristics of this variety.

The winemaking process is based on a skillful blend of two consecutive vintages, enriched with a small percentage of reserve wines managed using the perpetual reserve (solera) method, the stylistic hallmark of the maison, which adds maturity and multidimensionality. Depending on the disgorgement session, the dosage is kept to a minimum, ranging from 0 g/l to a maximum of 2.5 g/l. This true Extra-Brut approach strips the Meunier of any artificial softness, revealing a wine of overwhelming energy, where a generous and luscious fruit palette walks hand in hand with a saline drive and monumental structural tension.
