The AeroplanServaj (in the Piedmontese dialect "Wild Airplane") is the iconic label of Domenico Clerico's visionary thinking, the affectionate nickname his father gave Domenico as a child for his free, imaginative mind, always looking towards new horizons. This monumental Barolo comes from the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, and more precisely from within the renowned Additional Geographical Mention of Baudana. Here, the vineyards, kissed by an East/South-East exposure and rooted in strong, mineral-rich calcareous-clay soils of Swiss origin, yield Nebbiolo grapes of extraordinary concentration, structure, and depth.

In the cellar, the maison continues Domenico's legacy by combining the expressive power of the Serralunga terroir with modern, impeccable technical mastery. Fermentation and skin maceration take place in temperature-controlled steel tanks and rotomacerators to extract the best polyphenolic and chromatic components. The subsequent aging is a hallmark: the wine matures for about 24-30 months in a skillful combination of barriques and large oak barrels, followed by a long rest in the bottle before being released. AeroplanServaj is also distinguished by its famous artist labels (which change and are renewed every vintage), making each bottle a collectible piece of art.
