The Barbaresco Riserva 2016 marks a historic turning point for the Sottimano estate. The legendary 2016 vintage served as a watershed moment: years of rigorous organic farming in the vineyards culminated in an unprecedented, ultra-precise expression of Neive’s unique cru terroirs.

To honor this milestone, the Sottimano family crafted this benchmark Riserva by selecting fruit exclusively from their oldest, most deeply rooted Nebbiolo vines. The wine captures the raw, unmasked essence of Neive's terroir in its purest form. Vinified under low-intervention principles—spontaneous wild yeast fermentations, extended maceration, and aging in neutral oak without fining or filtration—this Riserva delivers towering structure, ethereal aromatics, and extraordinary cellaring potential.
