Nebbiolo d'Alba 2023

The Nebbiolo d'Alba La Castella is born in a border territory between the municipalities of Roddino and Sinio, where the vineyards thrive at significant altitudes (between 400 and 550 meters above sea level). Here, the soil—composed of clay, calcareous marl, and tuff—combined with an ideal South-West exposure, yields grapes of great character and finesse.

The production philosophy of La Castella aims for perfect balance: steel vinification preserves the integrity of the fruit, while aging for 10-12 months in second-passage barriques smooths the tannins without masking the varietal characteristics of the Nebbiolo. The result is a wine of broad structure, capable of evolving over time, transforming its initial strength into a velvety and complex softness.
