Langhe Nebbiolo Ginestrino 2023

Ginestrino is the monumental gateway into the world of Conterno Fantino. Produced since 1984, this Nebbiolo hails from vineyards in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, the beating heart of the Barolo region. The vines, perched at altitudes between 300 and 450 meters, are rooted in silty soils enriched with sand and limestone, benefiting from ideal exposures ranging from South to East.

The winemaking reflects the winery’s rigorous and modern style: following stainless steel fermentation at controlled temperatures, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in wood. The aging process, which combines French oak and stainless steel, is designed to enhance Monforte’s characteristic power while preserving the freshness of the fruit. Ginestrino is a Nebbiolo of great character, offering significant structure and aristocratic elegance—a true "junior Barolo."
