Langhe Nas-Cetta del Comune di Novello 2022

Nascetta is the white gem of the Barolo lands, an indigenous grape variety that Casa Baricalino cultivates in Novello, its historical birthplace. At an altitude of 420 meters above sea level, on marly soils rich in silt and clay, this grape develops a unique semi-aromatic personality. The vineyard work, using a Guyot system with low yields (about eight buds per plant), ensures a concentration of aromas and an acidic backbone ideal for a white wine of great character.

In the cellar, Casa Baricalino adopts a meticulous vinification process that blends freshness with structure: after gentle pressing and cold stabilization, fermentation begins in stainless steel and finishes in barrique. The wine then rests on fine lees for four months, with daily batonnage to provide a silky density and superior complexity. The result is a wine that defies time, combining the immediate fragrance of flowers with the profound savoriness of the Novello terroir.
