Langhe Arneis 2025
Arneis is a grape with an ancient soul, with its presence in Piedmont documented as far back as 1200 AD alongside the noble Nebbiolo. Bruna Grimaldi’s philosophy aims to represent the authentic typicality of this wine, working "without forcing" to enhance its varietal characteristics. The grapes grow on alkaline pH soils, rich in white marl, limestone, and clay—elements that grant the wine an elegant structure and a distinct minerality.
In the cellar, vinification follows a rigorous protocol to preserve fragrance: gentle pressing and low-temperature fermentation. To maintain its citrusy freshness, the wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation; instead, it ages for a couple of months using the bâttonage technique on fine lees. This essential step provides the palate with the creaminess and softness that perfectly balance the natural savoriness of the variety.
