Il Colombaio Rosso IGT 2020

Colombaio is the very essence of the Logi family's winemaking philosophy: a pure Sangiovese born from the desire to measure themselves against the nobility of Tuscany's flagship variety, while interpreting it through the unique lens of San Gimignano's soils. This IGT Toscana Rosso, produced in only 3,300 bottles, comes from vineyards located between 330 and 360 meters above sea level, where medium-textured soils, rich in rock fragments and limestone, grant the wine a structure of rare character.

Artisanal care is absolute: following a rigorous selection in the vineyard, vinification takes place in steel and concrete with a 20-day maceration. This is followed by an extensive 24-month aging period in new barriques, a necessary step to refine the Sangiovese’s power and enrich it with tertiary nuances. A final year of bottle aging before release ensures that every bottle of Colombaio reaches the glass with a complex, fleshy, and deeply enveloping personality.
