Grappoli del Grillo 2023
Born in 1991 as a bold challenge, Grappoli del Grillo was the first label to prove that the Grillo grape, traditionally used for fortification, could produce a great white table wine of noble elegance. The grapes are sourced from the historic Contrada Samperi in the heart of Marsala, from vineyards over 25 years old rooted in limestone and sandy soils.
The winemaking process is a tribute to purity: after rigorous manual selection and natural cold settling, the must ferments with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures. Moving from stainless steel to French oak barrels and the subsequent aging with the bâtonnage technique grants this Riserva extraordinary complexity and longevity.
