Colli Tortonesi Timorasso Fausto 2023
The Marina Coppi winery, located in Castellania Coppi, is an artisanal benchmark within the Colli Tortonesi appellation. Founded in 2003 by Francesco Bellocchio alongside his wife Anna, the estate is named after Francesco’s mother, Marina, daughter of the legendary cycling icon Fausto Coppi. While the "Francesca" Timorasso represents the vibrant soul of the winery, the "Fausto" stands as its ultimate peak: a monumental white wine crafted to defy time, proudly dedicated to the "Campionissimo" (the Champion of Champions).
The "Fausto" is crafted exclusively from the oldest and most prestigious parcel selections within Castellania's limestone-marl hills. Compared to its sibling, this 100% Timorasso undergoes an even more rigorous and extended winemaking journey: fermented in stainless steel tanks under temperature control, it undergoes a very long aging process on its fine lees (sur lie) for numerous months, followed by prolonged bottle rest before release. The goal is to harness the natural power of the grape, turning its massive structure into a regal and aristocratic complexity.
