Colli Tortonesi Timorasso 2024

The Timorasso by Cascina Penna Currado stands as a cornerstone of the new project by Elena Penna and Luca Currado. Born from a profound fascination with the Colli Tortonesi, this wine is the result of meticulous research into the variety's versatility. The grapes are sourced from 15-year-old vineyards with eastern exposure in Berzano di Tortona, where Timorasso fully expresses its power and minerality.

The winemaking is a manifesto of innovation: a 32-day fermentation using indigenous yeasts and a unique submerged-cap system for skin infusion. This unconventional method extracts structure and elegance while avoiding oxidative tones, keeping the wine vibrant. The aging process takes place in a sophisticated blend of Clayver ceramic vessels, stainless steel, and a small portion in acacia barrels. The result is a monumental white, featuring notes of yellow peach, chamomile, and tropical hints, balanced by a sharp acidic tension and a savory finish that promises extraordinary longevity.
