When one thinks of Serralunga, the mind immediately turns to Vignarionda, the quintessential cru and undoubtedly one of the most prestigious MGAs in the entire Barolo region. On this exceptionally gifted plot of land, Luigi Pira tends to a single hectare planted in 1994, where Nebbiolo expresses a unique and unmistakable personality.

The Barolo Vignarionda is intense, robust, and austere, yet capable of revealing masterful harmony and balance. The responsibility of handling such precious raw material results in careful stainless steel vinification, followed by 24 months of aging: the first year in French oak barriques to define its structure, and the second in large Slavonian oak casks to harmonize the palate. The result is a Barolo of extraordinary persistence, destined for a very long evolution.
