Barolo Ravera 2021
Ravera is widely considered the most renowned and expansive MGA within the municipality of Novello, situated at an average altitude of 330 meters with an ideal southwest exposure. The soil’s complex geological makeup—predominantly silty-clay and rich in minerals and active limestone—imparts a distinctive intensity and salinity to the wine.
The winemaking process aims to translate this territorial complexity into the glass through fermentation in stainless steel and a slow, delicate maceration. To offer a personal interpretation, a small percentage of whole-cluster grapes (not destemmed) is included during maceration. Following approximately 24 months of aging in large oak casks, the wine reveals a dense and refined tannic structure.
The resulting profile balances power and depth with a vibrant, savory freshness. This Barolo combines a strong temperament with elegance, offering a palate of great texture and an almost "dangerously" inviting drinkability.
