Barolo Monvigliero 2021 MG
Monvigliero is the definitive cru of Verduno and, in the hands of the Alessandria family, it becomes a masterpiece of elegance and longevity. Produced since 1978, this Barolo originates from a historic vineyard with ideal South-Southwest exposure and vines exceeding 50 years of age. The secret to its uniqueness lies in the limestone-silt soil of this hill, which grants the Nebbiolo a silky texture and an unmistakable aromatic bouquet.
The winemaking follows the slow rhythms of tradition: an extended maceration of up to 30 days in stainless steel is followed by 3 years of aging in Slavonian and French oak casks. Monvigliero does not strive for muscular power but for expressive depth: it is a wine distinguished by ethereal and spicy notes, with a tannic finesse that makes it unique in the Langa landscape. A bottle designed to defy decades, evolving toward an aristocratic complexity.
