Barolo del Comune di Verduno 2021 MG
The Barolo del Comune di Verduno is a tribute to the grace and aromatic distinctiveness of the Verduno terroir. A masterful blend from prestigious vineyards such as Pisapola, Campasso, Riva Rocca, Boscatto, and Rocche dell’Olmo, this wine represents the collective soul of a unique land. Here, the limestone-silt soils and predominantly Eastern and Southeastern exposures grant the Nebbiolo unmistakable verticality and freshness.
The Alessandria family, guardians of Verduno’s traditions, employs a respectful and patient winemaking process: a 30-day maceration is followed by 3 years of aging in Slavonian and French oak casks. The journey concludes with a period in stainless steel and at least 6 months of bottle rest. First produced in 2017, this Barolo stands out for its subtle and elegant sensory profile, beautifully expressing the more "gentle" and spicy side of the appellation.
