Barolo 2021 MG
The Poderi Oddero Barolo is a cornerstone of Langa tradition, a wine that embodies classic elegance achieved through the skillful blending of different crus. Following the philosophy of the "Grand Lady of Barolo," Maria Cristina Oddero, this assemblage combines the finesse of La Morra vineyards (Bricco Chiesa and Capalot) with the structure and vigor of Bricco Fiasco in Castiglione Falletto. With vines up to 60 years old, every bottle is a mosaic of exposures and soils representing the very essence of the appellation.
The winemaking reflects an uncompromising style: long macerations in stainless steel followed by a solemn 30-month aging in large casks of Austrian and Slavonian oak. The result is a Barolo with a brilliant garnet hue and an unmistakable bouquet, ranging from licorice to withered flowers, with that characteristic truffle note emerging over time. On the palate, it is dry, austere, and profound, supported by significant tannins that promise extraordinary longevity.
