Barolo Castelletto Vigna Pressenda
Barolo Castelletto "Vigna Pressenda" is the most refined and luminous expression of the Monforte d’Alba slope facing Castiglione Falletto. Set upon a unique terrain characterized by the ancient Lequio Formations, the vineyard boasts a "white" and highly calcareous soil that imparts unmistakable verticality and savoriness to the Nebbiolo. With vines dating back to 1969, this Cru represents a perfect balance between the wisdom of old vines and the vigor of younger plantings.
The winemaking follows the meticulous style of the Conterno Fantino family: fermentation in stainless steel and a solemn aging process in French oak of various sizes. Compared to other Monforte crus, Vigna Pressenda stands out for its particular grace: while the structure is significant, the mineral and floral components dominate the scene. The nose offers hints of fresh roses, crisp red fruits, and balsamic nuances, while the palate is supported by a dense yet silky tannic texture. A limited production of approximately 6,000 bottles for a Barolo of grand nobility.
