Barolo Albe 2021

Barolo Albe is the manifesto of the G.D. Vajra philosophy: a wine that celebrates tradition and the beauty of nature’s awakening. It is crafted from a blend of high-altitude vineyards (between 380 and 480 m a.s.l.), where the interplay of three different exposures allows one to enjoy the spectacle of three different sunrises (Albe) each day.

The 2021 vintage was characterized by a long growing season and a late harvest—ideal conditions for achieving perfect phenolic ripeness and vibrant acidity. The winemaking was slow and meticulous, with macerations lasting from 30 up to 61 days, allowing for a delicate yet profound extraction. Subsequent aging for 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks refined the tannins, delivering a Barolo of extraordinary harmony and clarity.
